Basics of the Faith

May 11 + every Sunday

This class covers the requirements for confirmation in The Episcopal Church. The class begins on May 11 and will continue every Sunday morning at 9am before the 10:30am worship service at Redeemer Episcopal Church. You do not have to desire confirmation in order to participate.


Discernment Course

May 15, 22, 29, June 5, July 17, 24, 31

This conversation will be begin on May 15 and continue on most Thursdays at 8pm via Zoom throughout the summer. It is for anyone who has thought that they might go to seminary or go into ministry at some point in their life. This will help figure out what your next steps might be.


May 14 at 4pm

Stop the Bleed class is more advanced than regular first aid, as it focuses on deep wounds (think from a gunshot or stab wound). You will learn to use a tourniquet, pack a wound, and to handle high-stress situations. Before the in-person conversations, you will need to take the online course linked here.


Know Your Rights

June 23 at 8pm

What happens if you are approached by ICE?  Can you lie? What should you present? Do they need a warrant? Who are you supposed to call? We will talk about what your rights are in front of ICE, police officers, and other official agents of the state. This class will be via Zoom.


July 17 - all day

This course will begin with your registration, which can be done at this link. You’ll want to filter the results by “Duval County” and select the July 17 field day. Register for free. Then, before the field day, you will need to take the free NRA education course, which is linked here, and send your certificate to Pastor Sarah.


July 22 at 10am to 3pm

This course will certify you in CPR/First Aid. The cost is $30, but if you have trouble with the cost, please reach out. The training will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church from 10am to 3pm. Lunch will be included.


Narcan First Aid

Aug 6 at 8pm

This training course will be online via Zoom at 8pm. The training is through the American Red Cross.
